"Never point your gun down," the owner says to me, "this isn't a real gun, so nobody's actually going to get hurt, but the second it takes for you to raise your gun back up to shoot, you could already be dead."
This is one of the first pieces of advice given to me about tactical laser tag, and my first hint that things were more serious than I thought.

At Nu-Zone, you are armed with the IRM4 'laser-gun', the equipment is as close as you can get to a 'weapon' while still being a toy. The gun is modeled after real assault rifles, specifically, the M4 Carbine used most common by the United States Armed Forces. From the shape of the rifle, to to the weight (roughly 7lbs), down to the recoil and burst to semi-automatic firing options. Players are presented with an environment that truly pays attention to the effect of their simulation.

22 players, 17 styles of simulations, and 4 games per session in an hour, teams could be booking sessions every week for a month and still have more new gameplay to run.
By playing with Nu-Zone, players are required to make an 'account' with iCOMBAT (their gear and tracking system) which takes note of your latest gameplay from accuracy, shots per minute, kill-death-ratio, and more. It is a key feature that returning players focus on. Many whom are avid online gamers who are fans of similar styles of games (first-person-shooter games, multi-player-battle-arena games, basically anything that shoots and has a leaderboard) are finally presented with a real-life outlet.

This little-known arena is the perfect location and activity to busy yourself with for those that really want an action-packed work-out. Take your friends out with you, take your anger out on your friends, test your skill against real-life law-enforcement in a friendly match of 'Terminator', or just shoot some kids. Trust me when I say it's a new world out at Nu-Zone.
